Congratulations to Mexico’s two new specialists in environmental sustainability!
Having fulfilled their university research and social service requirements, Claudia Garcia de la Torre* and Ileana Lopez Casillas** completed the work for their B.S. degrees in June,2012. Lic. Garcia de la Torre majored in Environmental Science at the University of Zacatecas, and Lic. Lopez Casillas was a major in Tourism Management and Sustainable Development at Nuevo Vallarta’s Technological University of the Bay of Banderas.
Their off-campus research advisor AMA Mexico President Dr. Manuel Felix Carlos described the students as “enthusiastic and academically stellar.”
Both participated in the design and implementation of AMA Mexico’s Education Outreach Program under the direction of Biologist Sandra Hernandez and took part in conservation activities under the overall direction of CONANP Biologist Hermilo Esparza.
